Copyright & DMCA

Fictionite respects intellectual property. This page summarises how we approach copyright on the Service and how to send notices of alleged infringement.

1. Our content

The Service’s branding, software, and original materials are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy or exploit them except as allowed by law or by us in writing.

2. User-generated content

Users are responsible for content they upload or publish. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, follow the notice procedure below. We may remove or disable access to material in appropriate cases.

3. Notice of copyright infringement

If you are a rights holder or authorised to act for one, send a written notice that includes:

  1. identification of the copyrighted work claimed infringed;
  2. identification of the material on the Service and information reasonably sufficient to locate it (e.g. URL);
  3. your contact information (name, address, email, phone);
  4. a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised;
  5. a statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that your notice is accurate and you are authorised to act for the owner;
  6. your physical or electronic signature.

4. Where to send notices

Email: legal@fictionite.com

We may also accept postal notice at the business address on file for the operator of this site. Include “DMCA” or “Copyright” in the subject line.

5. Counter-notification

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice that meets applicable legal requirements. We may restore content where the law allows.

6. Repeat infringers

We may terminate or limit accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights, where appropriate.

7. Trademarks

Names and logos may be trademarks of their owners. Use without permission may infringe those rights.
